Vegan bolognese

This bolognese-inspired pasta sauce is packed with vegetable proteins while maintaining that comforting feeling of a good hearty meal - suitable for vegans, or for those who are just looking for an extra dose of fiber in their diets! Because our fried tomato sauce is already cooked, this easy dish is ready in 30 min, making it a fast and satisfying weekday meal.

🍝Ingredients (for 4 people):

1/2 cup dry red lentils, washed

1 medium onion, diced

1 jar 350g FRIED TOMATO WITH OLIVE OIL IBSA

1 tsp oregano

LAS VALDESAS ARBEQUINA EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL

Salt and black pepper to taste


🍝Instructions:

  1. Heat up a good drizzle of olive oil in a sauce pan or small pot, and sauté the onions until translucent.

  2. Add the fried tomato, then fill the tomato jar with water and pour it into the pan.

  3. Add the lentils, oregano, and salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. Mix well and let it simmer for about 20-25min, or until the lentils are soft. Add more water if needed.

  5. Serve with your favourite pasta!
